Conversations About Transformation
The world is full of spectators. This is a conversation with the people who get in the arena.
Season One — Coming Soon“The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena… who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again… but who does actually strive to do the deeds.”Theodore Roosevelt, Citizenship in a Republic, 1910
In the Arena with Jeannie Salo
In the Arena with Jeannie Salo takes its inspiration from Theodore Roosevelt's famous "Man in the Arena" speech and its celebration of the people willing to act — to try, build, lead, challenge, fail, adapt and try again rather than simply critique from the sidelines.
Each episode invites a guest into the arena of ideas: a place to wrestle with complicated questions, challenge assumptions, explore disagreements and think together about transformations whose consequences aren't always clear yet.
These are thoughtful, curious conversations with leaders, innovators, policymakers, thinkers, disruptors — and people experiencing transformation firsthand. Guests may be driving change, responding to it, questioning it, or trying to understand what should come next.
Getting in the arena does not mean having all the answers. It means being willing to engage with the questions that matter.
